"deserted"). I will be doing an autopsy on someone tomorrow that crashed his Viper and died while street racing. (apparently the engine apppears intact. I will see if I can get first dibs.) Second. Don't under-estimate the C6 Z06. It is lighter, has more low-end torque, and it's published performance numbers are nothing to sneeze at. Third, if this is more than just a drag race (ie you are taking it to a road course), you really have your work cut out for you. Please check out the Feb/90 issue of Car and Driver, where they compare the Z32TT against the C4 Corvette. On the track, the C4 handily beat the Z. Given that your suspension is still the same while the C6 has 2 generations of improvements and tuning, you will need to really update your suspension (not to mention your brakes) in order to keep up with the Z06 on a road course. Of course, this assumes that both drivers are roughly equal skill and experience.
